Returns Policy – Second‑Hand Goods

At ABC House Clearance Ltd, all second‑hand items are sold on a “sold as seen” basis. Customers are encouraged to inspect items carefully before purchasing, as signs of age, wear, or previous use are to be expected.

However, in line with UK consumer protection standards, we offer the following assurances:

When Returns Are Accepted

We will accept a return or offer an exchange/refund only if:

  • The item is faulty, and the fault was not made clear at the time of purchase

  • The item is not as described, either in writing or verbally

In these cases, customers must notify us within a reasonable timeframe and provide proof of purchase.

When Returns Are Not Accepted

Returns will not be accepted for:

  • General wear and tear consistent with second‑hand goods

  • Change of mind after purchase

  • Issues that were visible or pointed out during inspection

  • Items sold at clearance prices where defects were clearly stated

Customer Responsibility

Customers are responsible for:

  • Inspecting items before purchase

  • Ensuring suitability, measurements, and condition meet their needs

By completing a purchase, the customer acknowledges and agrees to this Returns Policy.

The customer is responsible for returning the items, or paying for the return of the item. Agreeable upon purchasing of item.
